Ingredients (serves 2):

1/2 ripe lemon
3 ounces Absolut Citron vodka
1 1/2 ounces Cointreau
2 ounces premium lemonade (Simply Lemonade or Newman’s are our favorites)


  • Fill cocktail shaker with ice
  • Squeeze in juice of the lemon half
  • Add vodka and Cointreau
  • Top with lemonade
  • Sugar the rims of two chilled martini glasses (optional)
  • Shake the drink briskly for 10-15 seconds and serve in the chilled glasses
  • Garnish your lemon drop with a lemon twist if desired

Bartender’s Hints:   For best mixing results, use a cocktail shaker that’s large enough to allow for about an inch of empty space after adding all ingredients.   Shake vigorously until the shaker is frosted on the outside.

Also, Meyer lemons result in a spectacular lemon drop.  They’re only available in the winter and can be hard to find but are worth the hunt!
